Daredevil is back. In the new Marvel series Born Again, Charlie Cox returns as the red avenger on Disney+, and a trailer now offers thrilling first insights.
From 2015 to 2018, the series Marvel’s Daredevil ran on Netflix. Now she’s moved to Disney+ and six years after the series ended, blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who dons the Daredevil mask at night and fights crime on his own, returns to the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. A month and a half before the series premiere on March 4, 2025, Disney+ has now released the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again.

In the new Daredevil series, lawyer Matt Murdock once again finds himself on a collision course with his old nemesis: Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), who now has political ambitions. But can they keep their secret identities as a masked avenger and ex-gangster boss secret much longer? Or will Daredevil have to rely on the help of old acquaintances like the Punisher, who is back in the game, in his fight? The trailer is brutal again, despite the Disney brand.

Unlike most of his fellow Defenders, Daredevil has not completely disappeared from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in recent years. After Charlie Cox made a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, to the delight of fans, he also stopped by for a few episodes of She-Hulk: The Attorney and Echo. He will then soon have a (voice) guest appearance in The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man before he can devote himself entirely to his own new series at the beginning of March.
Daredevil: Born Again has had an eventful production history in recent years, with everything being overturned in the meantime. But now the series is coming to Disney+ with 9 episodes in season 1, with season 2 already in the works. In addition to showrunner Dario Scardapane (The Punisher), directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (The Endless, Moon Knight, Loki) were also behind the camera.
