With The Night Agent, leading actor Gabriel Basso’s career as an action actor took off. His career in front of the camera began much earlier – with impressive roles.

With the thriller series The Night Agent, Gabriel Basso managed to convince in the action genre. The second season has just been released on Netflix and season three is being filmed. The series is a huge success for streaming giant Netflix. Basso began his career at the age of 14.

To be precise, his acting career began in 2007, when the then 13-year-old young actor had his first supporting role in Meet Bill. He played an unnamed boy suffering from cancer. Basso did not appear in the credits either.

This changed in 2009 with the films Alabama Moon and J.J. Abrams’ science fiction thriller Super 8. It was particularly Abrams’ nostalgic sci-fi film that introduced him to a wider audience. His most long-running role to date was in the acclaimed series The Big C. From 2010 to 2013, Gabriel Basso played the role of Adam Jamison, son of the main character, who has to deal with cancer. His mother, who has cancer, is played by Laura Linney.

Subsequent roles included the coming-of-age film Kings of Summer and The Whole Truth, where he played alongside Keanu Reeves.

The Night Agent, an espionage thriller series produced by Netflix starting in 2023, marked Gabriel Basso’s breakthrough and finally introduced him to a worldwide audience. He plays the action-packed lead role of Peter Sutherland.
