One of the best horror series returns after 14 years: the first Final Destination 6 trailer finally reveals how it continues

One of the most popular horror series of the 2000s finally continues this year. As the first trailer shows, Final Destination: Bloodlines is every bit as good as its predecessors.
You don’t just get off Death’s back. At least that’s what the protagonists of the Final Destination series quickly learn after they narrowly avoid their own demise: The Grim Reaper is reluctant to be cheated of his prey and will stop at nothing to finish off his intended victims after all. This is also evident in the first trailer for Final Destination 6: Bloodlines, which continues the popular horror series 14 years after Final Destination 5.

Final Destination 6 completely changes the horror series
The sixth installment of the horror franchise also revolves around a group of survivors who are pursued by a vengeful death. They have to divert its attention from themselves in order to avoid dying after all.

One of the greatest attractions of the series for many fans is the bizarre ways in which characters die in the films: a breath of wind or a hairline crack in the floor can cause people to be decapitated by a tree trunk or strangled by the tape of a shower curtain.

As the trailer suggests, Part 6 will also serve this fan preference. In one respect, however, it sets itself apart from the rest of the series: according to current information, no familiar characters will return, with the exception of the ominous undertaker Bludworth (Tony Todd).

When will Final Destination 6: Bloodlines be released in theaters?

Final Destination 6 is scheduled for release in German cinemas on May 15, 2025. Directors are Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky, who faked their own death for the film. Spider-Man director Jon Watts, among others, is responsible for the story. Alongside Todd, the cast includes Brec Bassinger (47 Meters Down: Uncaged), Richard Harmon (The 100) and Rya Kihlstedt (Dexter).

It is not yet known whether the series will receive further sequels after part 6. The first part of the franchise was released in 2000.
