Currently we are in phase 4 in the MCU, phases 5 and 6 are already confirmed and many of the new Marvel films and series are also already concretely known – including the big cinema highlights “Avengers 5” and “Avengers 6”. One of them is “Wonder Man” – and this superhero is now getting company in his series from Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, according to Variety.

WILL “WONDER MAN” BE SATIRE?
The fact that Ben Kingsley is in “Wonder Man” as Trevor Slattery fits in well: the character Wonder Man is an actor and stuntman in the comics – so it’s fitting that they also bring in another actor-character from the MCU. But more than that, the casting of Ben Kingsley could be another clue to the tone of the series: there are credible reports from the industry that Wonder Man will be a showbiz satire – something that has not been done in the MCU before.
Trevor Slattery, a washed-up actor and a more comedic character, would fit the bill. As Variety reports, it’s not just a guest appearance either, but a major role.
THIS IS WONDER MAN
In the comics, Wonder Man’s real name is Simon Williams. The son of a big industrialist whose company loses out in the competition with Stark Industries, he makes a deal with Baron Zemo, who then endows him with superpowers. At first Wonder Man fights the Avengers, but then he joins them in the end.
Behind the Disney Plus series “Wonder Man” are Andrew Guest and “Shang-Chi” director Destin Daniel Cretton, who was also recently confirmed to direct “Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty”.
Currently, the MCU series “She-Hulk: The Lawyer” is airing on Disney+. Episode 3 awaits you there on Friday, 1 September 2022.
