Film plot and background
South African action thriller in which a firefighter gets caught in the crossfire.
Theo Abrams (Jarrid Geduld) has just had the hardest time of his life. As a firefighter, he had to watch helplessly as one of his colleagues died in a fire. He blames himself, hangs up his job and doesn’t know how to get out of the low. Even his wife Angela (Nicole Furtuin) has no chance of getting through to him. The situation rapidly worsens when Theo wakes up one day next to his dead wife.
The evidence points to Theo having committed the crime. When the police arrive, he is arrested. Theo no longer understands the world. He tries to escape, but two persistent cops are always close on his heels. Only slowly, and with the help of old friends, does he find out that this may have something to do with the case his wife was working on before she passed away: a systematic conspiracy that extends all the way to the top. Theo does everything he can to uncover his wife’s murder without any gaps and to save his own life.
