The visually stunning DC mammoth Justice League was remade in 2021. You can still stream the film for a few days on Netflix.
A year and a half ago, Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released on HBO Max and in Germany on Sky. Zack Snyder cobbled together his own version of the 2017 blockbuster Justice League with an extra budget. A few months ago, the superhero marvel, 4 hours long in total, came to Netflix. You can still have a really nice, long evening with the film today and for the next three days. On September 17, the mammoth film disappears from Netflix.
Not coming to Netflix soon: watch the massive trailer for the Snyder cut
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a superhero event
Possibly never before has such a pure superhero vision been released. At least not with so much effort and budget. And Warner and DC owed that to their director Zack Snyder. The first version of Justice League could not be completed by the director himself for personal reasons.
Marvel director Joss Whedon took over. And turned Snyder’s approach upside down. He equipped the blockbuster with a lighter tone reminiscent of the Avengers films. The finished film had little to do with Snyder’s work. Accordingly, DC fans frenetically (and sometimes aggressively) demanded the Snyder cut for years. In the meantime, manipulations in connection with the Snyder cut also became known.
Finally Warner and DC gave the green light: Snyder was allowed to put together a new film from the vast amounts of unused material. This time there were no creative limits. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is 100 percent Zack Snyder: slow motion, slow cover versions of pop classics, god metaphors, brutal fight scenes and melancholy.
For this Justice League is Snyder’s farewell to DC, in which he gathers for the last time the most important characters of the DCEU he shaped: Wonder Woman, Batman, Joker and, of course, Superman.
