“Bodies Bodies Bodies” – background, cast, theatrical release
With horror comedies and films that don’t follow the typical clichés, Studio A24 knows its stuff after hits like “Life After Beth”, “X” as well as titles like “Spring Breakers” and “The Bling Ring”. “Bodies Bodies Bodies” follows in the same vein and was directed by Halina Reijn (“Boy 7”).
The cast list features stars such as Maria Bakalova (“Borat 2”), Amandla Stenberg (“The Hate U Give”), Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island”), Lee Pace (“The Hobbit” series) and Connor O’Malley (“Palm Springs”). For Oscar-nominated Maria Bakalova, it is the first horror film in her still young career. Actually, the actress is afraid of horror films, but felt she was in good hands with Studio A24.
The world premiere of “Bodies Bodies Bodies” already took place in March 2022 at the South by Southwest film festival. In Germany, the horror comedy can be marvelled at in cinemas from 27 October 2022.
