Film plot and background
Spanish drama about two women from different walks of life who start a shared flat and grow close together.
The conservatively inclined Sara (Juana Acosta) is successful in her job as a manager, but notices that her marriage with Daniel (Daniel Grao) has stalled. Therefore, she is already looking for a new place to live behind her husband’s back. She quickly finds what she is looking for, but has to put up with a crucial snag. Currently, the robust Lola (Kiti Mánver) is still living in the flat at an advanced age and would like to stay there for the rest of her life. Only then can Sara move in. When that will be is determined by fate.
Although Lola always reaches for a fag and alcohol every day and has already had two bypass operations, she is bubbling over with life. As long as Lola is still alive, Sara finds in her an unusual conversation partner who soon becomes a greater support in her life than initially assumed. When her husband’s affair is discovered, Sara asks Lola for advice. An unusual friendship begins between the two so very different women, which quickly goes beyond buying a flat.
