Drama about a star reporter (Léa Seydoux) who gets caught in a downward spiral and has to start over.
When reporter France de Meurs (Léa Seydoux) steps in front of the camera, she is guaranteed dream ratings. Whether as the host of her own talk show or as a reporter from war reports, she goes her own way, come what may. But when she injures a scooter driver in a car accident, a downward spiral forms. Her private life is soon in shambles and every attempt to salvage her professional image ends in negative headlines.
Soon she reaches the end, but she wouldn’t be France de Moers if she couldn’t extricate herself from the miserable situation on her own. With biting comments she fights against her own impending irrelevance.

The satire by director Bruno Dumont (“The Fine Society”) celebrated its world premiere in Cannes in 2021. With Léa Seydoux (“The French Dispatch”), the director won one of France’s most dazzling stars for the leading role. France” will be released in cinemas here on 9 June 2022.
