Pourris gâtés: French comedy about a millionaire who cuts off his spoiled adult children so they have to stand on their own two feet.
Film plot and background
French comedy about a millionaire who cuts off his spoilt adult children so they have to stand on their own two feet.
As a millionaire, Francis Bartek (Gérard Jugnot) had to work hard for his fortune. His three children Philippe (Artus), Stella (Camille Lou) and Alexandre (Louka Meliava), on the other hand, have enjoyed the benefits of it. To teach them a life lesson, Francis hatches a plan. He blocks his children’s accounts, credit cards and mobile phones, stages a police raid, “flees” with them to the provinces and pretends that the family is broke and wanted by the authorities.
His children believe him at first and have to take responsibility for the family for the first time far from home near Marseille. Although they have long since grown up, they now have to prove themselves on the job market in order to feed the family. After all, there is more to be learned from hard jobs that only pay minimum wage than from champagne and caviar. At the same time, the secluded life under one roof opens new doors for the family.
