Halloween Ends: Final horror segment where Jamie Lee Curtis aka Laurie Strode comes face to face with Michael Myers one last time.
Film plot and background
Final horror segment in which Jamie Lee Curtis aka Laurie Strode faces Michael Myers one last time.
1978 saw the birth of one of the most successful as well as bloodiest horror film franchises with “Halloween”. In it, the serial killer Michael Myers preyed on the residents of Haddonfield – Laurie Strode, portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis, had to hold her own against the horror figure time and time again.
In the 2018 sequel/remake “Halloween”, the Strode family and the fight against Myers continued. Now granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and daughter Karen (Judy Greer) were also threatened by the ominous figure. In “Halloween Kills” (2021), the people of Haddonfield, including the now adult Tommy Doyle (Anthony Michael Hall), vented their anger at Michael Myers. In “Halloween Ends” (2022), the horror saga comes to an end.
In the final trailer, Jamie Lee Curtis invites you straight to the cinema:
“Halloween Ends” – background, cast, theatrical release
Chronologically, “Halloween Ends” follows directly on from its two predecessors “Halloween” and “Halloween Kills”, in which Laurie Strode has long since become a grandmother. The film is once again directed by David Gordon Green, who previously contributed to the scary spin-offs of 2018 and 2021. “Halloween” mastermind John Carpenter is involved as executive producer, while Jason Blum (“Get Out”) contributes his expertise as producer.
The leading actors and actresses remain the same in the third part of the new horror series. Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle will be in front of the camera together for the last time as Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Andi Matichak will also stand up to the horror figure as Laurie’s granddaughter.
The theatrical release date for “Halloween Ends” has been set: The 14th film in the “Halloween” series will be released on 13 October 2022, almost exactly one year after “Halloween Kills” opened in cinemas. The FSK rating is still pending, but if the film series remains true to itself, one can look forward to FSK 18.
