Film plot and background

Third animated fun for the youngest audience around Maya the Bee and her friends.

Maya the Bee and her best friend Willi are terribly bored after hibernation. Because their thirst for adventure is so great, Maja and Willi are given an important mission: they are to bring Grünblatt’s royal egg safely to Bonsai Mountain.

Without knowing it, however, Maja and Willi thereby get into a big conflict with other insects. The golden egg harbours a real ant princess, whom the two must now protect from malicious beetles. If they fail in their mission, war could break out between the beetles. On the arduous journey to Bonsai Mountain they are pursued by nasty insects, but they can count on the help of their friends Eddy and Freddy. Only together can they survive the journey, in which trust in each other is of particular importance. Maya the Bee has never been on such a long journey before.
