Single parts of the Marvel series once produced for Netflix like “Daredevil”, “Jessica Jones” and Co. are gradually moving into the MCU. Now an “Iron Fist” star is also to make new appearances there – in a film and (!) in a series.
Charlie Cox is already firmly back in the MCU as “Daredevil” Matt Murdock. He was seen in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” as well as “She-Hulk”, will soon get his own series on Disney with “Daredevil: Born Again”, his own series on Disney+. And his adversary in “Marvel’s Dardevil”, the Kingpin, embodied by Vincent D’Onofrio, also plays a role. After an appearance in “Hawkeye”, he will be involved in “Echo”. We are still waiting for characters from other Netflix series. But that’s about to change – with one from “Iron Fist”, of all things.
“Iron Fist” was hardly well received. Lead actor Finn Jones was viewed negatively by critics and fans alike as Danny Rand. Therefore, his comeback is considered out of the question. But a woman at his side gradually played her way to the fore and into the hearts of many viewers – and she is to return: The talk is of Jessica Henwick as tough fighter Colleen Wing.

Jessica Henwick was most notably seen as Colleen in “Iron Fist”, but also made appearances in the crossover “The Defenders” as well as in an episode of “Luke Cage”.
Her return is now announced by Marvel insider @greatphase15 on Twitter. He has already attracted attention several times in the past with very reliable information from the inner circle, so we consider him very credible. What is interesting is what he now reports.
According to this, Henwick, who is also known from “Matrix 4” and the Netflix actioner “The Gray Man”, signed a contract a fortnight ago that regulates two MCU appearances of her: in a series that will be released in 2024, as well as in a feature film that is to be released in 2025.
Just confirmed with evidence from my sources…. Jessica Henwick officially signed two weeks ago and she will return for a Disney+ project to debut in 2024 and has a theatrical appearance for a 2025 movie.

JESSICA HENWICK AS COLLEEN WING IN “DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN” AND “AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY”?
The insider reports that he unfortunately does not know which two projects they are. However, we can make a guess as to which two projects they are: 2024 will see the release of the series “Daredevil: Born Again”. Given the already close proximity of her character to Matt Murdock and the already existing connection, an appearance here would only be logical. Meanwhile, “Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty” will be released in 2025. With many, many characters likely to clash here, this is the most likely choice.
Also @greatphase15 states that these two projects would be his tip. Whether we’ll really see Jessica Henwick in “Daredevil: Born Again” and “Avengers 5” or Marvel might still pull secret projects out of the hat or use the character somewhere else entirely, we’ll have to wait and see. But despite the lack of confirmation, given the insider’s reliability so far, fans can start looking forward to the comeback gently – and hope that many more will follow. After all, the return of Jon Bernthal as the Punisher as well as Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, among others, is also strongly desired.
I don’t actually know which projects, I only saw the terms of the deal amongst a few other small things, but they would be my likely guess.
