Ron’s Gone Wrong: Animated film about a shy boy’s friendship with a defective robot who is supposed to become his best friend.
Film plot and background
Barney (in English Jack Dylan Grazer) never felt comfortable interacting with his peers as a teenager. So he was all the more delighted by the news that from now on there is to be a B-Bot for every child. The little round robot is not only supposed to be the most advanced machine in the world, but also the best friend for the children. Unfortunately, Barney’s robot, named Ron (Zach Galifianakis), already shows some defects when he starts it up.
Ron goes wrong and, one would think, should be exchanged immediately. But can a new best friend be replaced so easily? A curious adventure begins for Barney and Ron in which both will learn a lot about the tangles of true friendship.
