For this year’s Treehouse of Horror special, The Simpsons is getting the anime treatment as the show is set to parody the classic Japanese manga series Death Note in one of the Halloween special’s segments. According to IGN, the entire Death Note-inspired short, titled Death Tome, hails from the original anime’s animation studio, DR Movie.
The first two clips from The Simpsons Halloween special have been released, featuring our first look at the titular family in their anime form. In the videos, it can be seen that Lisa will be the one who takes possession of the infamous notebook.
