Netflix has dropped the full trailer for Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, its upcoming animated holiday film featuring the voices of Luke Evans, Olivia Colman, and more. It will be available for streaming on December 2.
The Scrooge: A Christmas Carol trailer teases Netflix’s adaptation of the timeless classic tale. It highlights the streamer’s new take on the story’s familiar characters including the different designs of the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.
“Charles Dickens’ ageless legend is reborn in this supernatural, time-traveling, musical adaptation of the definitive Christmas story,” reads the synopsis. “With his very soul on the line, Scrooge has but one Christmas Eve left to face his past and build a better future.”
Scrooge: A Christmas Carol features the voices of Oscar winner Olivia Colman (The Mitchells vs. the Machines), Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley (The Lost Daughter), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes), Johnny Flynn (Emma), Fra Fee (Hawkeye), Giles Terera (Hamilton), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Aladdin: Live from the West End), and James Cosmo (Braveheart).
Scrooge: A Christmas Carol will be featuring reimagined songs from the legendary and two-time Academy Award winner Leslie Bricusse OBE. It is produced by Timeless Films and Axis Studios, with Stephen Donnelly serving as the director.
