Bones and All: Coming-of-age horror film set in the 1980s, starring Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell
Plot and Background
During Ronald Reagan’s presidency in the 1980s, young Maren (Taylor Russell) meets Lee (Timothée Chalamet). What begins as a charming first meeting soon leads them both to make big decisions. For Maren, her already fragile existence is at stake, Lee is temperamental and never tied down to one place.
The closer they get, the more Maren’s biggest secret and problem becomes a danger. Since childhood she has been eating away at those who give her love. At 16 her mother abandoned her, since then she has been searching for her father and met Lee during the odyssey. While their burgeoning love keeps them together, her past lusts soon threaten to break in on her again, endangering not only her love but Lee’s life.
