With “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Returns” you can now enjoy the fourth part of the popular fantasy series on Disney+. However, things are a bit different here than in the previous films.
If you’ve been wondering for a few years now what the status of “Night at the Museum 4” actually is, you’ll at least get a first answer to that on Disney+ today. As of today, “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Returns” is available there. However, this is an animated adventure in which Ben Stiller, the undisputed star of the previous parts, is no longer involved as Larry Daley.
Of course, you can also watch the first three “Nights at the Museum” films again as part of your Disney+ subscription, so that you are then perfectly prepared to deal with “Nights at the Museum: Kahmunrah Returns”. Alternatively, the films are also available on Blu-ray and DVD at Amazon:
WHAT “NIGHTS AT THE MUSEUM: KAHMUNRAH RETURNS” IS ABOUT
Nick Daley (originally voiced by Joshua Bassett) follows in the footsteps of his father Larry (Zachary Levi) and becomes a night watchman at a museum. But he hasn’t chosen just any museum, just like his old man he starts his new job at the American Museum Of Natural History in the New York borough of Brooklyn. So of course he is fully aware of what goes on there after sunset.
As expected, all the exhibits come to life again under his supervision at the end of opening hours. Unfortunately, the tyrannical pharaoh Kahmunrah (Joseph Kamal) escapes from his cellar dungeon. Now it’s up to Nick and his friends in the museum to save it and maybe even the whole city from destruction…
THESE ARE THE VOICES OF FANTASY ADVENTURE
Shawn Levy (“Free Guy”), the director of the first three films, did not take over the directing this time, but acts here exclusively in the role of producer. Instead, Matt Danner, who previously worked on animated TV series such as “Kung Fu Panda – With Fur and Fu” or “Xiolin Showdown”, took the directing post.
The most important characters are played in the original English version by Joshua Bassett (“High School Musical: The Series”), Zachary Levi (“Shazam! “), Thomas Lennon (“Memento”), Joseph Kamal (“Good Girls Don’t Do That”), Gillian Jacobs (“Community”), Alice Isaaz (“My Best Friend’s Father”) and Steve Zahn (“The White Lotus”).If you want to watch the trailer in the English-language dub with the just-mentioned voice actors, you can do so here
