The Menu: Thriller starring Ralph Fiennes as a celebrity chef who prepares an exclusive dinner party with a curious ending.
Plot and background
It promises to be an exclusive evening. On a remote island, 12 selected gourmet friends are invited to be cooked for by star chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes). Among them is gourmet fanatic Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) and his partner Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy), for whom it is their first trip to a Michelin-starred restaurant of this calibre.
Once on the island, the guests are met by their hostess Elsa (Hong Chau). While the guests want to enjoy their exclusive evening and rack their brains over the menu that is still hidden, Margot quickly realises that there may be foul play afoot. For Chef Slowik she is a disruptive factor, he cannot assess her. But Margot, of all people, could really upset the actual showdown of the evening when a nasty surprise soon appears on the guests’ menu.
