Snekker Andersen og den vesle bygda som glømte at det var jul: Christmas film for young and old about little Elise, whose village doesn’t know what Christmas is.
Plot and background
As the days grow shorter and the snow thickens, little Elise (Miriam Kolstad Strand) is convinced she has forgotten something important. At the kiosk, a transient wishes her a Merry Christmas, but she wonders what this “Christmas” could be.
Her calendar shows a fir tree with wondrous lights on 24 December, and when she finds a wooden box with 24 painted doors in the attic, she starts to wonder. What could she have forgotten? Luckily, she finds the address of carpenter Andersen (Trond Espen Seim) on the box. She summons up all her courage, goes to him and wants to know what Christmas is all about. He advises her to visit Father Christmas (Anders Baasmo Christiansen) to teach her and her equally forgetful village the magic of Christmas again.
