Netflix is continuing the sitcom “The Wild Seventies”, which is cult revered not only by the author of these lines – and the new trailer for “The Wild Nineties” makes it clear that almost all the original stars are also back in the mix.

After a first trailer focused exclusively on the new young characters who now philosophise about life and love over lots of weed in the basement of Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty Forman (Debra Jo Rupp) – to his annoyance and her delight – the latest trailer for the Netflix series “The Wild Nineties” also reveals the guest appearances of many original stars.

The old gang from “The Wild Seventies” is almost completely back: Eric (Topher Grace), Donna (Laura Prepon) Michael (Ashton Kutcher), Jackie (Mila Kunis) and Fez (Wilmer Valderrama) can be seen. Only Danny Masterson as Hyde is missing for understandable reasons. The actor is currently on trial on several rape charges.

Not only is the old gang back on board, head stoner Leo (Tommy Chong) also drops by and can already be seen in the trailer.

“THE WILD SEVENTIES” SEQUEL ON NETFLIX: IT’S ON WITH THE KIDS’ KIDS

The sequel series to the cult sitcom “The Wild Seventies!” centres on Eric and Donna’s daughter Leia (Callie Haverda). She longs for adventure in her life and has therefore left her parents’ house and moved in with her grandparents in Point Place.

There she meets the rebellious Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide), her lovable brother Nate (Maxwell Donovan), his girlfriend Nikki (Sam Morelos), the sarcastic and sensitive Ozzie (Reyn Doi) and the charming Jay (Mace Coronel). Jay, by the way, is the son of Michael and Jackie.

Of course, the new sextet soon finds the weed of their predecessors in the Forman cellar and so they start smoking again and also revive the legendary stoner circle. Let’s see if the new series will become as much of a cult as the original. We’ll know more soon. We can already stream “The Wild Nineties” on Netflix from 19 January. Here is the first teaser trailer once again:
