The Amazing Maurice: animated film based on the story by Terry Pratchett about Maurice the talking cat.
Plot and background
As if it weren’t amazing enough that Maurice the cat (voice of Bastian Pastewka) can talk, he has discovered a lucrative business thanks to a ruse. With the help of a troop of loyal rats and a flute player (Jerry Hoffmann), he moves from village to village. While the rats become a “problem” on the spot, Maurice and his human friend are on hand to ensure that the rats stay away from now on for a good sum of money.
The troupe has already been to many places where no one could guess their true intentions. The village of Bad Blintz, however, has a bigger secret that needs to be explored. In the process, Maurice, the flute player and the rats meet an adventurer who has quite an agenda.
