The Three !!!: In their first cinema adaptation, the three exclamation marks, the young detectives Franzi, Kim and Marie, have to solve their first case in the school theatre.
Plot and background
The three friends Franzi (Alexandra Petzschmann), Kim (Lilli Lacher) and Marie (Paula Renzler) couldn’t be more different: While Kim dreams of writing detective novels one day, Franzi is a real jock who grew up on her parents’ farm surrounded by lots of animals. Marie, on the other hand, is mainly interested in fashion and acting. Despite their differences, however, The Three Exclamation Marks always stick together – and that is sorely needed.
When the three of them take part in a theatre project during the summer holidays, strange things happen during rehearsals. Actually, the wonderful story of “Peter Pan” is to be performed under the direction of the quirky Robert Wilhelms (Jürgen Vogel). But the rehearsals are repeatedly disturbed by strange noises and creepy incidents. Then a threatening message appears on a make-up mirror. Who is behind the dangerous haunting?
In the style of “The Three ?”, the youth book and radio play series “The Three !!!” was created in 2006 especially for young girls aged 7 to 13. In the meantime, the three detectives have solved a total of 70 cases. A film adaptation is therefore long overdue. The first screen adventure of the Three !!! is being filmed by director Viviane Andereggen, who is making her debut with the film.
The roles of the bright young detectives are played by the three young actresses Alexandra Petzschmann, Lilli Lacher and Paula Renzler. At their side are stars such as Jürgen Vogel (“So Much Time”) as the headstrong director, Thomas Heinze (“Vier gegen die Bank”) as Marie’s father and in other roles Sylvester Grothe (“In Times of Diminishing Light”) and Bibiana Beglau (“1000 Ways to Describe Rain”).
