Plot and background
Käpt’n Sharky may still be relatively young, but he’s already a real buccaneer. With his crew, consisting of the rat PiRatte and Coco the parrot, he makes the seas unsafe. One day Sharky meets the boy Michi and promptly boards his boat. The two quickly become friends and go on a privateer voyage together. But old Bill keeps getting in their way with his three-master and his unscrupulous pirate crew.

With the lovable pirate boy Käpt’n Sharky, author Jutta Langreuter and illustrator Silvio Neuendorf have created an extremely successful character whose adventures are now told in eleven books, radio plays and a bi-monthly comic magazine. As an animated adventure for the whole family, “Käpt’n Sharky” will be released as a film for the first time in 2018.
