Duck Duck Goose: 3D animated film for the whole family about the adventures of a headstrong gander who adopts two cute ducklings against his will.
Plot and background
The gander Peng (originally voiced by comedian Jim Gaffigan) considers himself a real high-flyer. But with his risky manoeuvres, he keeps disturbing the formation of the other geese as they migrate south for the winter. At some point this becomes too much for the other geese. When Peng breaks the formation and provokes an accident, he breaks his own wing. The other geese then leave him behind, annoyed.
But Peng is not entirely alone. The accident also separated the ducklings Chao (Lance Lim) and Chi (Zendaya) from their family. Suddenly Peng is responsible for the clumsy chicks. They set off on foot for the warm south. Along for the ride is Peng’s old friend, the turtle Larry (Carl Reiner). But the wildcat Banzhou (Greg Proops) soon takes notice of the wayward group of travellers.
“Goose in Luck” – Backgrounds
The fact that Christopher Jenkins’ animated film is a Chinese-American co-production is most readily apparent from the animated locations. The animations, however, do not have to hide from the great American models. After all, Jenkins himself was involved in films like “Hercules” and “Home” as a producer and in the art department.
