After season 3 & 4 of “The Mandalorian” it’s probably not the end.

The third season of “The Mandalorian” with Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin starts on 1 March on Disney+. Jon Favreau has already confirmed that he’s also written season 4 – but that’s not the end of The Mandalorian’s story…

After “The Book of Boba Fett”, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu are reunited and will have more adventures together in season 3 of “The Mandalorian”. The eight new episodes of the “Star Wars” series can be seen on Disney+ from 1 March – there is always a new episode on Wednesdays. And fans can apparently look forward to many more adventures of the duo…

Because showrunner Jon Favreau only recently revealed that he has already written the script for season 4 of “The Mandalorian”. But Favreau now also explained that he still has no idea how the “Star Wars” series will end – and that can really only mean that season 4 will not be the end point yet!

So is “The Mandalorian” season 5 still coming – and maybe even more? That’s a possibility, of course. But another way to continue Din Djarin’s and/or Grogu’s story would be guest appearances in “Mandalorian” spin-offs, as was the case most recently in “The Book of Boba Fett”. Finally, many of the new “Star Wars” series on Disney+ are supposed to be connected in terms of content and could then culminate – in true MCU style – in a big crossover.

That he doesn’t have an ending in mind for the series just yet, Jon Favreau revealed on the Inside Total Film podcast (via Bespin Bulletin). With season 3 of “The Mandalorian” we have just reached “the middle chapter of a much bigger story”. He quickly went on to talk not just about Din Djarin, but about the characters currently populating the “Mandalorian” universe in general. These are Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), for example.

“Even though we already know basically what’s going to happen to these characters over time and how they fit into the big picture, there’s no finale that we already have in mind and are working towards. On the contrary, I love that these stories go on and on. So these characters could potentially be with us for quite a while and I really love telling stories from their point of view, I love how the adventures unfold and I’m looking forward to doing a lot more of them. “

“AHSOKA” MAY LAUNCH IN AUTUMN 2023

After “The Mandalorian” season 3, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” will also be released this year – leading actress Rosario Dawson recently let it slip that this could be the case in autumn 2023. When asked if the new “Mandalorian” season would cross over into the “Ahsoka” series in terms of content, Favreau indicated that he did not intend to “completely interweave” the series, but characters could drop in for crossovers – and the events in the different series will influence each other. The new series “Skeleton Crew” with Jude Law is also one of the series playing at the same time as “The Mandalorian”.
