“My Rebirth as Slime in Another World” is based on the fantasy light novel of the same name by Fuse with illustrations by Mitz Vah. In 2018, the volumes were adapted as a series, which now comprises two seasons of 48 episodes and can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
For the film, Fuse wrote a new story, yet some of the events tie in with the two seasons of the series. It is about Satoru Mikami, an ordinary 37-year-old employee from Tokyo. When he is unexpectedly murdered, he finds himself in an unknown world as slime and suddenly has new, extraordinary abilities. But the influential new nation and its wise ruler are a thorn in the side of some surrounding powers…
Fans of the series can look forward to “My Rebirth as Slime in Another World – The Movie” coming to German cinemas as part of Crunchyroll Anime Night on 31 January 2023!
