Plot and background
When director M. Night Shyamalan releases a new film, it’s best to know as little as possible about the plot. The master of plot twists, think the ending of “The Sixth Sense”, will surely make use of another trick for “Old”, as we have come to expect from the director’s filmography.

“Old” – plot
The story is based on the graphic novel “Sandcastle” by Pierre Oscar Lévy and illustrator Frederik Peeters. It is about a corpse that clouds the idyllic seaside day for all the people present and causes the ageing process of those involved to progress rapidly. While some of the tourists were still children at the beginning, within a few hours they are already teenagers. In a mysterious cave they age within minutes. What is behind this mystery?
