“Dragon Ball Super: Broly” – German theatrical release

On Jan. 29, 2019, German viewers got their first taste of the latest theatrical release of “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” when KAZÉ Anime Nights brought the film’s OmU version to 200 different German theaters. The Japanese theatrical release took place just six weeks earlier on Dec. 14, 2018. The screenplay was once again penned by “Dragonball” creator Akira Toriyama.

The German dubbed version has also been confirmed for theaters. On July 30, 2019, “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” with the original voice actors from “DBZ” around Tommy Morgenstern, David Nathan or Oliver Siebeck will be seen in over 200 cinemas.

Background on Broly, Saiyajins and “Dragon Ball Super “

The 20th “Dragon Ball” movie promises an exciting battle among the strongest warrior race we know from the anime: the Saiyajin. In the “DBZ” saga, all that was known was that the entire population of the planet Vegeta was wiped out by Freezer’s army. Only a few survivors have survived the extermination, including the heroes Son Goku and Vegeta. Broly is a new Saiyan who made his first film appearance back in 1993 and quickly fought his way into the hearts of fans.

The feature film seamlessly continues the story from the anime “Dragon Ball Super,” which ended on Japanese TV screens in March 2018. There, Son Goku and his friends fought against various warriors from twelve universes in a great tournament of power.
