The Mother” seems to be well received by the audience or at least interesting enough – after all, J.Lo in the leading role is a strong selling point – to get Netflix subscribers to stream it. As a result, “The Mother” has gotten off to the best start ever for a Netflix movie in 2023, with 83.7 million hours watched in its first five days.
AN AUDIENCE HIT WITH WEAK REVIEWS
But international critics* aren’t quite convinced: on Metacritic, “The Mother” averages a weak 45 out of 100 points, and on Rotten Tomatoes, only 44 percent of reviews are positive – classifying the actioner as “rotten.” And FILMSTARTS editor Daniel Fabian also gives a harsh verdict on “The Mother,” dubbing it “lousy.”

“Atomic Blonde” as VoD: Unfortunately currently not available in any streaming subscription, but keep your eyes open, because that could change at any time.
