This might be the biggest streaming smash of the year on Disney+: In June, James Cameron’s sci-fi epic “Avatar: The Way Of Water” finally comes to the subscription. Much more unknown, but an absolute tip: new episodes of “Abbott Elementary”!
And then, of course, there is the MCU replenishment that we promised you in the headline. On June 21, 2023, the new Marvel series “Secret Invasion” starts on Disney +, the episodes are released weekly always on Wednesday. Thus, after a long break, the MCU series finally continue, 2023 had not yet started – but after that it’s blow after blow: the second season “Loki” starts on October 6, the “Hawkeye” spin-off series “Echo” comes on November 29.
In the thriller series “Secret Invasion,” Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury must almost single-handedly take on a menacing secret invasion. So this time it sounds more like agent action than classic superhero action, once again expanding the range of MCU series genres (think of the unusual sitcom approach of “WandaVision”). Here’s the trailer for “Secret Invasion”:
But before “Secret Invasion,” “Avatar 2: The Way Of Water” will make its way onto Disney+: June 7, 2023 is the date! Probably many of you have already seen the sci-fi epic in theaters – after all, enough money was flushed into the coffers worldwide to make “Avatar 2” the third most successful film of all time with 2.3 billion US dollars. But even those who have already seen “Avatar 2” will perhaps tune in a second time on Disney+.
And to all those who have not yet seen the new adventures of Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) on Pandora, we can only advise: Catch up on the film, it’s worth it, even if it of course depends heavily on the equipment of your home theater, how powerful the spectacular images come across off the big screen.
