Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 is a unique dystopian puzzle simulator game with a retro pixelated art style, but its launch trailer is much more varied thanks to Half Giant, the team behind Cult of the Lamb‘s numerous well-received trailers.
The Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 launch trailer is from Half Giant
This trailer evokes some of the style from Hanna-Barbera animations like The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, or The Jetsons, with some satirical, tongue-in-cheek humor that’s often seen in the Fallout games or The Outer Worlds. The gameplay is similarly quirky and tasks players with using cameras to spying on humans while also managing resources. Half Giant has worked on many of the aforementioned stylized Cult of the Lamb trailers, as well as the Rogue Legacy 2 animated trailer.
And while this is a launch trailer for Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099, it’s only coinciding with the launch of the PC version. The Nintendo Switch port is slated for Q3 2023 and has not been given a more concrete release date.
Developer Fictiorama Studios released the first Do Not Feed the Monkeys in 2018 on PC, while Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One ports followed throughout in 2020.
