Like so many of you, our video editor and “Star Wars” fan Sebastian is really excited about the video game “Star Wars: Jedi Survivor”. But could Cal Kestis soon be starring in a series on Disney+ or in the cinema?
“Star Wars: Jedi Survivor” is the gripping and powerful sequel to “Star Wars: Fallen Order”. We don’t want to tell you too much about it here, because if you’re interested in more, we recommend you visit our sister sites GameStar (if you play on PC) or GamePro (for all console fans). The video game experts on both sites will tell you in numerous articles how to best set up the game, reveal hidden details you might have overlooked or explain how you can even turn the main character into Darth Vader on the PC with a mod.
On Filmstarts, we of course mainly talk about the films and series from the galaxy far, far away. Because “Star Wars: Jedi Survivor” and especially main character Cal Kestis could also become important for them. As is well known, the two video games featuring him are part of the official “Star Wars” canon. If you are interested in the complete timeline in which the games are set, we have the following article for you:
In his video above, Sebastian explains so where Cal Kestis might appear. The most likely place would be the world of series on Disney+ – even if with “Obi-Wan Kenobi” the most obvious option was not used. The upcoming second season of “Andor” would be another option, even if Sebastian thinks that is less likely.
But there might also be room around the events in “The Mandalorian” – though we would then have to experience a much older Cal. So Sebastian doesn’t think that’s so likely either, but it’s conceivable.
In any case, there is already an actor in Cameron Monaghan. Monaghan, who is known among other things from the DC comic series “Gotham”, already embodies the Jedi for the motion-capture recordings for the video game and also lends him his appearance and voice. Do they really not want to use him? Maybe there are other possibilities… All of Sebastian’s thoughts on this can be found in the video embedded above.
