La ligne: Swiss-French drama about a woman who is banned by court order from having contact with her family for three months.
Plot and background
At 35, Margaret (Stéphanie Blanchoud) has already had to endure several acts of violence and has been raped several times. When she herself gives her mother a beating during an argument, a restraining order is placed on her. She is not allowed to come within 100 metres of her mother and thus her parents’ house for three months.
Now, of all times, she wants to be closer to her mother and the family and takes a walk every day anew to stand at the uncrossable barrier to her family.
