AMC has revealed the Dark Winds Season 2 trailer. The next chapter in Graham Roland’s psychological thriller will return on July 30 with six new episodes.
The video features Zahn McClarnon’s Lt. Joe Leaphorn as he faces a complicated case connected to a past personal tragedy. It shows the Navajo Nation plagued by the arrival of a sinister man responsible for several Navajo murders.

What to Expect in Dark Winds Season 2?
Dark Winds is based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series. Joining McClarnon are returning cast members Kiowa Gordon as Jim Chee, Jessica Matten as Sgt. Manuelito, Deanna Allison as Emma Leaphorn, and Elva Guerra as Sally Growing Thunder. Season 2 will also introduced A Martinez as Sheriff Gordo Sena, Joseph Runningfox as Henry Leaphorn, Jeri Ryan as Rosemary Vines, and Nicholas Logan as Colton Wolf.
“This season, Lt. Joe Leaphorn, reunites with Jim Chee, his former deputy turned private eye, when their separate cases bring them together in pursuit of the same suspect.” reads the synopsis. “They find themselves in the high desert of Navajo Country chasing a killer who’s turned his sights on them to protect a secret that rips open old wounds and challenges Leaphorn’s moral and professional code.”
The series is created and executive produced by Graham Roland. In addition to starring, McClarnon executive produces along with George R.R. Martin, Robert Redford, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Gerardis and Tina Elmo.
