Streaming tip: These are the films you should watch quickly on Netflix

by Dennis

You only have until 30 June to stream a whole range of real highlights on Netflix. Among them are “Shutter Island” with Leonardo DiCaprio, “Warrior” with Tom Hardy and “Wind River”, “GoodFellas” and “Berlin Alexanderplatz”.

A few days ago we informed you that numerous action thrillers are only available on Netflix until 30 June. In addition to “Mission: Impossible 5” and Co., numerous other top-class thrillers will also disappear at the end of the month – which we would like to point out to you today.

The following films are only available on Netflix until 30 June:

“Warrior”: The MMA drama about two brothers (Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton) whose paths cross again after years when their lives are at a turning point is stirring, spectacular and emotional Hollywood cinema – and for the author of this article, Tom Hardy’s best film to date, which still brings tears to his eyes in one or two scenes.

“Wind River”: A must for fans of Taylor Sheridan, who is known as the screenwriter of “Sicario”, “Hell Or High Water”, “Yellowstone” or “Tulsa King” – and who finally gained a foothold as a director with “Wind River”. But beware, this uncompromising murder hunt in bitterly cold Wyoming is not for the faint-hearted.

“Shutter Island”: No less gripping is Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of the novel, in which Leonardo DiCaprio sets out on an investigation that leads him to a shocking truth. Classic thriller fare to keep you guessing – twist included.

“GoodFellas: And once again Scorsese! His mafia epic set over several decades is still considered one of the best gangster films of all time. The FILMSTARTS review also gave it the full five stars – which is a recommendation for really every cinema fan who may never have seen the cult classic.

“The Secret Window”: You already know “Shutter Island” or prefer Johnny Depp to Leonardo DiCaprio? Then you’ve come to the right place for this twisty Stephen King adaptation.

“Notting Hill: If you want something a little more romantic, there’s no getting around Notting Hill. The legendary rom-com starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts is almost 25 years old, but it is still as enchanting today as it was in the past.

“Dragon Taming Made Easy 2”: Those who have a weakness for fantasy adventures or want to sit in front of the TV with their children will also be served. The second adventure of Hiccup and his dragon Toothless is entertaining entertainment for young and old (just like the predecessor and the sequel).

In addition to other titles such as the diabolical thriller “On a Mission from the Devil” with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino, “Bounty” with Mel Gibson, “Free Willy” and “The Grinch”, a number of highlights from Germany also have a Netflix expiry date that is fast approaching:

“Berlin Alexanderplatz”: Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s 14-episode saga about ex-con Franz Biberkopf, who tries to build a new life in Berlin, is considered one of the greatest masterpieces in German film and television history. A few years ago, the story was revived no less grippingly, but in the context of today with a grandiose new edition.

The Eberhofer detective stories: In addition, the first seven Eberhofer detective stories, which are among the most popular and successful film series that German cinema has produced in the recent past, are also disappearing at the end of the month: “Dampfnudelblues”, “Winterkartoffelknödel”, “Schweinskopf al dente”, “Grießnockerlaffäre”, “Sauerkrautkoma”, “Leberkäsjunkie” and “Kaiserschmarrndrama”.
