Netflix has finally dropped the full Bird Box Barcelona trailer for its upcoming Spanish spin-off to 2018’s horror thriller of the same name. The film is scheduled to make its debut on July 14.
The video begins with a group of survivors navigating their way through the post-apocalyptic ruins of Barcelona, as they run away from the unseen creatures who continue to prey on people’s fears. It also introduces a far more dangerous threat in the form of a group of people without blindfolds who aims to make everyone accept their current reality.

What to Expect in Bird Box Barcelona?
“After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, Sebastian must navigate his own survival journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona,” reads the synopsis. “As he forms uneasy alliances with other survivors and they try to escape the city, an unexpected and even more sinister threat grows.”
Bird Box Barcelona is written and directed by Álex Pastor and David Pastor. The film stars Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Alejandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Diego Calva, Patrick Criado, Lola Dueñas, Gonzalo De Castro, Michelle Jenner and Leonardo Sbaraglia.
The film is produced by Dylan Clark, Chris Morgan, Núria Valls, Adrián Guerra, Josh Malerman and Ryan Lewis. Executive producers are Ainsley Davies and Brian Williams.
The 2018 movie was directed by Susanne Bier from a screenplay written by Eric Heisserer, based on Josh Malerman’s 2014 novel of the same name. It starred Sandra Bullock, Trevante Rhodes, Sarah Paulson, John Malkovich, Rosa Salazar, and more.
