Is “Star Wars” fan favourite a Jedi? Trailer for the new series on

by Han

This made even our “Star Wars” fan Sebastian fall off his chair. The new trailer for “Ahsoka” teases surprises – and so we take a closer look at it after a brief “Secret Invasion” prequel.

Don’t worry about getting started with “Secret Invasion”. Sebastian talks briefly about the Marvel series for just under three minutes before turning his focus in his new video to what’s important: “Ahsoka”.

Because the new trailer for the “Star Wars” series, which will start on 23 August 2023 with two episodes on Disney+, has a lot going for it. Does the preview want to tell us that the Mandalorian Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“Day Shift”, “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny”) in her live-action debut, is a Jedi?

That should send the many fans of the popular and – let’s face it – best character from “Star Wars: Rebels” into a similar frenzy as our Sebastian.

THRAWN WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!

What else he discovers in the trailer for “Ahsoka” also finds a place in the video, of course. Finally, the new preview also gives us the best look yet at “Star Wars” cult and now finally live-action supervillain Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen).

How he does in “Ahsoka” is eagerly awaited, especially since he is also expected to be the big antagonist in an upcoming “Star Wars” movie by “Ahsoka” creator Dave Filoni.

How all this fits into the “Star Wars” canon and timeline so far, we reveal to you in the following article:

“Star Wars: Ahsoka” will launch on Disney+ on August 23, 2023. In the series, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) is on the search for the villain Thrawn and the Jedi Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), who disappeared together with him. She is probably supported by old acquaintances such as Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), who seems to suspect that a new war is threatening the galaxy.

For some sinister forces are also on the lookout for Thrawn, who could rise to become the new ruler of the Empire – first and foremost Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), whom we already know from “The Mandalorian”, as well as Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) and Baylan Skoll, who is played by Ray Stevenson, who died in May 2023.
