The trailer for American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes, narrated by Stephen Amell, reveals the upcoming WWE documentary which will premiere July 31st on Peacock.
The preview promises that the documentary will explore key moments from the career of Cody Rhodes, from his beginnings with WWE to his exit in 2016 and his triumphant return in 2022. It’s also mentioned, by Kevin Owens, that Vince McMahon flew to Rhodes’ home in order to get him back with the company.

What to Know About Becoming Cody Rhodes
“Cody Rhodes grew up living in the shadow of his father, WWE Hall of Famer ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes. In 2016, Cody risked it all by leaving WWE to make a name for himself, becoming the ‘American Nightmare,’” per the official synopsis. “This intimate and revealing documentary follows Cody’s journey away from the WWE, and his return at WrestleMania 38 last year, as he chases the dream of winning the WWE championship, the one title his father was never able to claim. Amell, who narrates the documentary, is friends with Rhodes. In addition to facing off in a WWE ring with Amell, Rhodes played Derek Sampson in several episodes of Arrow.
