The first Golda trailer is here, previewing legendary actress Helen Mirren in the role of Golda Meir, the first female Israeli Prime Minister.
What is Golda about?
The thriller is directed by Guy Nattiv, and comes from a script written by Nicholas Martin. Alongside Mirren, Golda will also star Camille Cottin and Liev Schreiber. The film will take place during the 19 days of the Yom Kippur War in 1973 as Meir is left to make many decisions in order to try and keep Israel from collapsing.
Golda is currently slated to premiere in theaters nationwide on August 25, 2023.
