Jennifer Lawrence has starred in several big Marvel movies over the course of her career. One of the best is on TV tonight. It comes from the X-Men universe.
In the early 2010s, 20th Century Fox decided to revamp its X-Men universe with young versions of veteran superhero:ins. The result was 2011’s X-Men: First Decision, which particularly impressed with its cast: James McAvoy (Professor X) and Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) led the Marvel blockbuster.
Three years later, the sequel came to the cinema with X-Men: Future is the Past and unites the two existing X-Men universes in a big time travel story. Jennifer Lawrence also plays a decisive role in it again as Mystique. Tonight you can watch the film on TV. However, only the theatrical version will be shown and not the so-called Rogue Cut.
Marvel action with Jennifer Lawrence: Future and past merge in the X-Men universe
X-Men: Future is Past adapts the Days of Future Past storyline known from Marvel comics. The frame story is set in a dystopian future where mutant:ins are oppressed and imprisoned in internment camps. The evil Sentinels rule the earth. At the same time, a second storyline unfolds in the 1960s, where attempts are made to prevent this future.

Although X-Men: Days of Future Past was well received by both critics and audiences at the time, 20th Century Fox later decided to release an extended version of the film called The Rogue Cut. This features an additional 17 minutes that weaves unused material into the existing story and also comes up with an entirely new subplot.
