Mon chat et moi, la grande aventure de Rroû : French family film about Clémence and her newly adopted kitten Lou, who leave Paris to spend the vacations together in the countryside.
Plot and background
10-year-old Clémence (Capucine Sainson-Fabresse) finds an orphaned kitten in the attic of her Paris apartment building. Without further ado, she takes in the cute, bright ball of fur and names it Lou. The two become best friends and have been inseparable ever since – and so Lou is even allowed to accompany Clémence and her parents to the country, where they want to spend their vacations together. There, the curious house cat enjoys his forays through the surrounding woods, where he makes friends with the little white cat Câline and experiences many exciting adventures in which he has to brave many dangers. But when Lou does not return one day, Clémence is worried about her kitten, which is now all alone among wild animals roaming the forest, and goes in search of the four-legged friend.

French documentary and nature film specialist Guillaume Maidatchevsky (“Ailo’s Journey”) created a warm-hearted and educational family film with his new animal adventure “Lou – Adventures on Velvet Paws”, which captivates with breathtaking nature and animal shots. With a great sense for the moment and, the accomplished filmmaker captures the friendship between a girl and a cat who both have to learn what it means to grow up. In the lead role, Capucine Sainson-Fabresse (“Little Nick on a Treasure Hunt”) adopts the little kitten from the attic. In the process, she learns what it means to take responsibility and, over time, grows more and more beyond herself as a cat owner.
“Lou – Abenteuer auf Samtpfoten” will be released in Germany with an age rating of 6 years on July 20, 2023.
