A Mew and Mewtwo trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been released, showing off the two iconic legendary Pokémon from Kanto.
What happens in the Mew and Mewtwo trailer?
The newly released trailer shows Mew and Mewtwo battling one another, with the latter using energy balls and telekinesis to throw rocks at Mew. As Mew gets back up, we see Meowscarada, Skeledirge, and Quaquaval watching the fight and assumedly preparing to take part.
The trailer ends with text stating players can add Mew to their team and challenge a Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark. As part of the event, players can obtain Mew through the game’s Mystery Gift feature using the code GETY0URMEW.
Then, from Thursday, August 31 at 5:00 p.m. PT to Sunday, September 17 at 4:59 p.m. PT, players will be able to battle and obtain Mewtwo in Tera Raids. Ahead of said raids, Pokémon suited to battling Mewtwo will appear in raids to help prep players. The official Pokémon website teases that “something special might happen if you send Mew into a Tera Raid Battle against Mewtwo.”
