Blue Beetle: DC movie with “Cobra Kai” star Xolo Maridueña as DC hero Blue Beetle.
Plot and background
Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) returns to his hometown full of enthusiasm as a recent college graduate. But Jaime quickly realizes that things are far from the same there as they were in his youth. While the young man is trying to find his place in the world, he comes into possession of the “scarab” by a fateful coincidence. This ancient relic in the form of a beetle is based on extraterrestrial biotechnology and seems to have chosen none other than Jaime as its symbiotic host. Thus, the latter suddenly finds himself equipped with a magical armor that gives him extraordinary powers. The find thus proves to be life-changing and the initially haphazard Jaime becomes the DC superhero Blue Beetle.
