Plot and background
The Heinzelmännchen already spend more than two centuries underground, but Heinzelmädchen Helvi has enough of the oppressive confinement. She sets out on an adventurous journey to the surface of the earth, where she hopes to discover her true talent. After an initial exploratory tour with Kipp and Butz, she finally ends up with the grumpy Cologne pastry chef Theo. Helvi seems to have found her calling, even though Theo is initially less than enthusiastic.
In the end, even the other Heinzelmännchen are able to catch up with her to once again pursue their destiny and help people. But after all these years they are a bit out of practice and so things go haywire. Will it end well?
