The trailer for Annika Season 2 reveals the return of the Masterpiece on PBS series, which focuses on DI Annika Strandhed (Nicola Walker) as she works the Marine Homicide Unit and is tasked with solving murders in and around the Scottish waters.
“Annika and the team return to solve more murders that wash up from Scotland’s waters,” an official synopsis reads. “Annika shares her wry insights on the crimes while raising her teen daughter, Morgan. The new series will see Annika and her brilliant MHU uncover bodies in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and as far as the Hebridean island of Jura, keeping in high literary company with the likes of Robert Louis Stevenson, George Orwell, and Walter Scott to help solve the cases.”

When Will Annika Season 2 Premiere?
The six-part season will debut Sunday, October 15 on Masterpiece on PBS.
The cast includes Jamie Sives as DS Michael McAndrews, Katie Leung as DC Blair Ferguson, Ukweli Roach as DS Tyrone Clarke, Kate Dickie as DCI Diane Oban, Varada Sethu as DC Harper Weston, Silvie Furneaux as Morgan Strandhed, and Paul McGann as Jake Strathearn.
Nick Walker created the series, writing all of the second installment’s episodes.
