It’s been a year and a half since the start of the second season of the Netflix hit “Bridgerton”. So when will the romantic saga finally continue? Maybe even in 2023…
If this date is correct, then “Bridgerton” fans will definitely cheer. Because if “Bridgerton” season 3 really does start this December, we would have gotten double “Bridgerton” coverage this year, along with the spin-off “Queen Charlotte”. And that would be almost too good to be true. After a possible leak of the start date, the rumors that the third season of “Bridgerton” could be released on December 14, 2023 on Netflix are now intensifying.
But from the beginning: The first time the date came up in June, when the X-Account (formerly Twitter) of Netflix Portugal announced December 14 as the start date for season 3. The post was quickly deleted again – so it’s possible that it simply went out too early, i.e. it was a leak. But some users reacted quickly and took screenshots of the post, so the date soon made the rounds…

Why this rumor is currently now being fueled further is due to a Glamour article about the “Bridgerton” rival series “The Buccaneers”. The original version of the article also stated that “Bridgerton” season 3 would start on December 14, 2023.
In the meantime, the article, which appeared a few days ago, has been revised. The date is no longer in it, and at the end there is the note: “An earlier version of this article stated that ‘Bridgerton’ season 3 would be released on December 14. That is not the case, as a premiere date has not been announced. “
DECEMBER LAUNCH STILL NOT UNLIKELY
So there is no officially confirmed date, but the date must not have been wrong because of that – again, it would have simply been a quick fix by Glamour. Of course, it’s also possible that someone at the magazine had stumbled across the leaked launch date and used it for the article.
Ultimately, we will have to wait for the official announcement. After all, a start in December would not be unusual: Season 1 of “Bridgerton” also came out during the Christmas season. And the season was already shot this spring, so post-production should also be finished soon.
STAFFEL 3: COLIN & PENELOPE
Season 3 of “Bridgerton” features the love story of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington aka Lady Whistledown (Nicola Coughlan). The Netflix series produced by Shonda Rhimes thus makes a change to the novel by Julia Quinn. Because there this couple moves only in volume 4 in the center.
