Juste ciel!: French comedy in which a group of nuns participate in a local bicycle race to fund their volunteer project.
Plot and background
Five nuns from a small Benedictine monastery in the deepest province of France have made it their holy mission to renovate a run-down old people’s home. But the town hall won’t lend any money and the only possibility of financing seems to lie in the prize money of the local bicycle race. The catch: none of the pious ladies is firmly in the saddle. But with hard training and strict discipline, victory seems closer and closer. However, when a second team of nuns appears, led by a hostile nun, the pressure of competition increases more and more, causing the nuns to resort to less than Christian means in their fight for victory.
