Kimi Wa Kanata: Anime fantasy adventure about a schoolgirl who ends up in a parallel world after an accident before she can confess her true feelings to her boyfriend.
Plot and background
Mio Miyamasu doesn’t try very hard at school. She prefers to discuss with her classmate and childhood friend Arata Kishimo what probably lies on the border between heaven and space. However, when her best friend Madoka confesses to her that she has fallen in love with Arata, Mio realises that she feels the same way and finds it difficult to admit her feelings. After an argument with Arata, Mio decides to confess her true feelings to him, but a traffic accident prevents her from her plans. After the accident, Mio finds herself in another world called “World Border”, where she slowly seems to forget everything about her old life. With the help of the cute character Gimon and the girl Kiku-chan, young Mio learns that she can return to the human world with a train ticket and a wish. Meanwhile, her unconscious body lies in a hospital, but in order for her soul to reconnect with her body, Mio must summon all her strength. Luckily, she is supported by her new friends and, of course, by Arata, who is eagerly waiting for her.
