Die Streaming-Woche auf Netflix ist mal wieder prall gefüllt. Neben den allerletzten Folgen von „The Walking Dead“ geht es auch endlich mit „Lupin“ weiter. Außerdem gibt es den Horror-Schocker „The Pope’s Exorcist“ nur sechs Monate nach Kinostart.
Wie in jeder Woche stellen wir euch auch diesmal am Sonntagabend wieder die (potentiellen) Highlights vor, die uns in den kommenden sieben Tage bei Netflix erwarten. Von Montag bis Sonntag hat der Streamingdienst diesmal gleich so einige Kracher parat – vom Ende einer Zombie-Ära über abgefahrene DC-Action und den ersten Horrorfilm mit Russell Crowe bis hin zur neuen Staffel eines absoluten Netflix-Serien-Hits, auf die Fans über zwei Jahre warten mussten.
Doch kommen wir zur Sache: Hier sind die Netflix-Highlights für die Woche vom 2. bis zum 8. Oktober 2023 – sortiert nach Wochentagen:
MONTAG: KURZE VERSCHNAUFPAUSE
Nachdem Netflix zum Monatsauftakt am gestrigen Sonntag mit Titeln wie dem Martin-Scorsese-Historiendrama „Zeit der Unschuld“ und allen Staffeln der Kult-Serie „Shameless“ für ordentlich Film- und Serien-Nachschub gesorgt hat, lässt es der Streaminganbieter am Montag etwas ruhiger angehen – bevor dann ab Dienstag wieder kräftig nachgelegt wird…
DIENSTAG: “THE WALKING DEAD” GEHT ZU ENDE
Hulu has unveiled an Only Murders in the Building Season 3 clip from its upcoming ninth and penultimate episode titled “Thirty,” which will premiere this Tuesday, September 26.
Over three decades after starring together in 1991’s Father of the Bride, it looks like Martin Short and Steve Martin have found themselves in another wedding. The video features a clever reference from the classic comedy movie with Charles calling himself and Oliver, the fathers of bride since Selena Gomez’s Mabel is wearing a wedding gown. It’s unclear if Mabel will indeed get married, or if it’s part of their hunt for clues.

Who’s in Only Murders in the Building Season 3?
Only Murders in the Building centers around three strangers who share an obsession with “true crime” and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. The series stars Short, Gomez, Martin, and Michael Cyril Creighton. Season 3 introduces Paul Rudd as Broadway actor Ben Glenroy, Meryl Streep (Big Little Lies), and Ashley Park (Emily in Paris).
“Season 3 finds Charles, Oliver & Mabel investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show,” reads the logline. “Ben Glenroy is a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death. Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin, our trio embarks on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempts to put his show back together.”
The series hails from co-writers and co-creators Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie). Its executive producers are Martin, Hoffman, Short, Gomez, Jamie Babbitt, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal.
